PayPal: How to Add Money to Your Account, So You Can Transfer Money or Pay Bills Immediately

PayPal is one of the most popular ways to pay online, and it’s great because it’s secure and easy to use. The only downside is that you can’t add money to your PayPal account instantly. But with just a few minutes of your time, you can move the cash from your bank account into your PayPal account, so you can transfer money or pay bills immediately. Here’s how to add money to your PayPal account instantly through 3 different methods!

Signing up with a major credit card

To start with PayPal’s basic services, you need an account. Follow these steps to sign up with a major credit card:

  1. Enter your email address. 2. Enter your name. 3. Choose I agree and click Continue. 4. Fill in the details of your credit card account, as well as any other information PayPal asks for (for example, you may need a Social Security number). If everything checks out, enter your password and follow the prompts until you’ve logged in successfully.

Logging into PayPal

Once you have logged into your account, there are two ways to add money. The first way is by adding a bank account. To do this, you’ll need the routing number and the bank account number that corresponds with the account. Once you have added this information and saved it, PayPal will automatically deduct from your balance each time a purchase is made. The second way is by adding your credit card or debit card. All you need for this option is the credit card’s expiration date and billing address; PayPal will charge your credit card automatically when a purchase is made from your PayPal balance.

Adding money to your account using a major credit card

You can add money to your PayPal account using a major credit card. To do this, select the Transfer option in the PayPal app and select Credit Card. Follow the prompts and enter your credit card information.

If you don’t have an account with any of these credit card providers and want to open one for these purposes only, you can get a pre-paid Visa or Mastercard from an online bank that accepts credit cards for reloading your balance (Capital One 360 is one of these banks). There are many pros and cons when it comes to this; some people feel uncomfortable opening another account just for their PayPal needs while others don’t want to put themselves at risk by linking their PayPal account with a debit card.

Checking how much you have in your account

Log into your PayPal account on your phone and navigate to the Account tab in the menu at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down and tap Add Funds. Next, enter your bank routing number and checking account number (make sure this is a checking account that you can use for withdrawals). Tap the credit card option if you want to do a one-time charge. Confirm everything looks correct before submitting your information. In about three days, funds will appear in your PayPal account for you to use!

Transfering money using Paypal

The first thing you’ll need to do is log in to your PayPal account. As you can see from the menu at the top of your screen, Add funds will be in the second tab. Once you’ve clicked on that tab, then click on Payment Methods. There are two ways that you can transfer money using PayPal. The first is if you have a debit card and would like for us to charge it for the transfer amount. The second way is if you have money available in your PayPal balance and would like us to apply that amount towards the transfer. After making your selection and providing payment information (debit card information OR PayPal account details), we’ll show a confirmation page with a reference number so that all parties know who transferred what how much when.
