If you’re an Instagram user, there’s a good chance that you’ve wondered What is my Instagram URL? at some point or another, especially if you want to pass your username along to your friends or fellow social media users in order to share your account with them. Luckily, it’s actually very easy to find your Instagram URL using either a computer or mobile device, and all you need to do it type in one simple code.
If you have an iOS device
For most iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), using the following steps will lead you to your IG profile:
- Open the app Settings and go to Instagram. 2. Enter your username in the Username field or hit the Search for User button. 3. Click on Log Out, then enter your username again and log back in from there.
If you’re still having trouble finding your profile, try opening the IG app and entering your username in a search bar. If nothing comes up, try logging out and logging back in from your username (sometimes it’s necessary to log out in order for you to see your username). Otherwise, go through Steps 1-4 above again or leave a comment if you have questions about how to find your profile on an iOS device. Remember that if you can’t find it using these steps on an iOS device, you won’t be able to find it on Android devices either.
If you have an Android phone
Navigate to the Photos section in your app and tap on the three dots at the top right. Select Select Multiple if you have more than one account set up on your phone, then select Share Link. The share screen will display a public link that contains all of your uploaded photos. Copy this link and paste it into your browser, bookmark it, or save it somewhere else so you can get back to it easily when you need.
If you have an iPhone, iPad or Mac, you can still find your Instagram link. The steps are pretty similar, although it may vary depending on which iOS version you’re using and whether you’re using a Mac. To find your link, open your Photos app on your device and select a photo that you’ve previously uploaded to Instagram. Select Share Photo via… in the lower right corner of your screen. Select Copy Link in iOS 10 or More in iOS 9, then paste that link into a browser of computer for easy access later.
If you have a Windows PC
To find your account ID on a Windows PC, go to My Accounts by clicking the little blue person icon in the top right of your browser and then Accounts. From there, click Instagram and you’ll see an option for Business or Personal Account which will ask for your username. Type that in, hit enter, and it’ll show your account ID!
To find your account ID on a Mac OS computer, click the three dots next to the iphone looking icon at the top of your screen. Click account settings, type in your username and password, scroll down until you see your Instagram profile, then select either your business profile or ‘personal profile’. Your account ID will be listed below that.
If you have a Mac OSX computer
- On a Mac, go to the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen and click it. This will open up a drop-down menu with many options, but we want find the search bar. Click that and type Instagram into the search bar and hit enter on your keyboard or use the spacebar if you’re one of those people who thinks iPhones have bad keyboards. 2. A new window will pop up with a list of websites, blogs, celebrities etc., but what we’re looking for is ‘Unsure why this isn’t listed?’ in the bottom right hand corner of the page 3.
